When The Entrepreneur’s Center (TEC) won the multi-million dollar ESP grant for the Dayton region, they wanted to take their digital presence to a new level. Knowing they would be engaging with a much larger number of entrepreneurs, startup companies and small businesses, as well as community advocates and University partners, their user experience needed to be on point.
How do you create a better digital experience for a non-profit brand?
They contracted with us to not only develop a new website for them, but to dig deep into the regional landscape to clearly identify all the potential audiences they could support. We did just that, and came out with several clearly defined personas, as well as a series of mental models to help us determine how best to engage with each audience, dependent on where they are within their respective journey. With this in mind, we dove in and created a whole new site, from the ground up. User experience, and quick/easy access to information were especially important on this site. We included a series of stories to help users identify with each audience type, as well as simple navigation to the primary resources available on the site. All in all, we’re pretty happy with the final product!
